2013-08-20 The new (academic) year is nearly here!
Hey y'all, Webmaster here, with a quick update and a summary of how the 2013/14 academic year is shaping up.
But first, an apology. I haven't been keeping the site as up to date as I'd like. Hopefully over the next few months I'll upgrade the site so the whole committee can add some tasty content :)
OK, on to business! Tradition dictates that first things come first, so that's where I'll start; I have added the practice dates from September through to December, so you know when we're ringing.
Looking a further ahead to November, and Liverpool will be hosting the Northern Universities Association annual get-together over the weekend of the 15th-17th. We'll certainly be in attendance, and we'll get more details out closer to the time.
On to March, and the annual MUGCR Dinner and AGM is the cornerstone of the guild calendar. Expect more details around December/January.
We also hope to run some ringing tours over the course of the year, so keep an eye out for announcements.
Well, that's all for now. Just one last message to all those who recently got their A-level results: if you're yet to choose which university to attend, come to Manchester - the Best in the North West :D
2012-12-21 A look ahead to 2013
After a successful NUA, our next major event is the Annual Dinner on 9th March at the Manchester Conference Centre. As usual, there will be a tour during the day, this time in west Manchester (details to follow).
Trinity practices are changing to weekly from February; these dates, along with Fallowfield dates, are listed on the left.
Until then, enjoy Christmas, and we'll see you in the New Year!
2012-11-13 Stretford replaces Cathedral
Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a booking at the Cathedral, so have provisionally placed Stretford in the Saturday 9am slot.
2012-11-07 More NUA updates
The most important update to the itinerary is on Friday, where Eccles has been replaced by Pendleton. We can also confirm the arrangements for the evening, meeting at Pi in Altrincham. The Saturday shenanigans have also been booked, and West Didsbury is confirmed. This leaves only the Cathedral as unconfirmed - more to follow.
2012-11-05 Town Hall confirmed for NUA
We can confirm that we have secured the Town Hall for Sunday from 2:30pm to 4pm. Be sure to stick around for a rare grab opportunity!
